This strawberry oatmeal smoothie not only tastes great, but the oatmeal helps make it nice and thick. It does taste slightly like oatmeal, which I like, but if you blend the oats first, it’s not too grainy.
I put chia seeds in my smoothie but you don’t have to if you don’t have any. Incase you haven’t used them before, chia seeds are small (the size of poppy seeds) flavorless seeds that add a little extra protein and fiber to your smoothie. I also use them in oatmeal and sometimes even in cookies.

Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 banana, broken into pieces
- 14 frozen strawberries (a heaping cup of sliced berries)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
