What’s better than fresh baked apples and cinnamon bread? This apple cinnamon monkey bread is not only a delicious breakfast treat that’s easy to make, but it’s really budget friendly too. This recipe for 2 single serve portions uses one 7.5 oz can of biscuit dough, an apple, 2 tbs butter, some brown and white sugar and a bit of cinnamon. The total cost ends up being about 50¢ per serving. Fifty cents!
If you follow my blog you may notice that I am a fan of the ramekins. I like making smaller portions because I only need to feed two people, and with more indulgent foods, I don’t really need a ton of leftovers sitting around tempting me.
If you are cooking for more people, you could easily double this recipe and cook it in a 1.5 quart baking dish or bundt pan, it will just take longer to cook, about 45 minutes to an hour.
